Tom Bell, in association with Permaculture Association of Tasmania (PAT), and a forming intentional community group known as Abeo, is delighted to announce the Tassie Permaculture Design Certificate Course of 2007 to be presented over 2 weeks from Jan. 22nd - Feb 4th. 2007. Permaculture based on global sustainable landscape design principles was founded by Bill Mollison and David Holmgren and means "permanent agriculture" (info at http://www.tagari.com)

On Thursday the 1st of Feb @ 4pm ish Matt Cracknell will be giving an hour or so talk/presentation at the Huon Valley Environment Centre (Wilmot St Huonville) on the significance of cave and karst systems in relation to conservation of natural and cultural values, and some background info on geoconservation and 'geodiversity', highlighted with some examples from the Weld River valley.
The talk will include some ideas on future field work, i.e. what to look for, where to go, how to document what you find.
There is no charge for the session but if you would like to make a donation to HVEC/Weld campaign that would be grand.
