The Venezuelan President has made headlines for calling US President Bush 'the devil', and for using his country's oil wealth to lift Venezuelans out of poverty. In 2002 the President was kidnapped by right wing forces; 48 hours later loyal military troops and massive street demonstrations succeeded in re-installing him. This amazing doco was filmed inside the presidential offices as the coup took place. It is an inspiring look at the progressive changes that are taking place in Venezuela today and how the people are organising to defend them.
