Federal Election called: Walk Against Warming November 11

The Federal Election has been called and we now know the date of the Walk Against Warming - Australia's largest day of community action on climate change! The Walk will be held in Hobart on Sunday November 11 in conjunction with events taking place around Australia. The Walk will start at 1pm on Parliament lawns, and we will make our way to Princes Park for speakers and music. This is an excellent opportunity to let the next Australian government know that you support strong action on climate change, and we need loads of people there to make a big impact. So mark this day in your calendar! Be there with bikes, banners, costumes and everyone you know!!!

The Hobart Walk Against Warming collective is meeting regularly and there are lots of ways you can help!
• Come along to our meetings and get involved! Contact Caitlin on 6234 5566 or email caitlin@sustainablelivingtasmania.org.au to find out about meetings
• Help paint banners, and hold in prominent places during rush hour!
• Pick up fliers and posters from 102 Bathurst St, Hobart and distribute around town, or letter box your suburb.
• Not in Hobart? Organise a local Walk in your area! Contact National WAW Coordinator Marnie Kirkken at mkikken@nccnsw.org.au to register your Walk and get advice and resources.
