Climate change is already occurring, much faster than the world's scientists have predicted. The Arctic sea ice is melting at record levels. This is an emergency yet governments continue to make decisions which exacerbate climate change – Victoria's new coal-fired power station, expansion of
Newcastle's coal port, and other government-supported projects such as the pulp mill in Tasmania and the desalination plant in Victoria.

On the release of the final Garnaut report come to this action and show that to begin to solve the problem we need action like:

- Make Tasmania a renewable energy island
- Leave the carbon in the forests
- Improve public transport
- No carbon trading loopholes
