Hobart Fringe is an annual community arts festival. The focus of the festival is experimental, emerging and multi-disciplinary art.
Fashion show, buskers, experimental music, shopfront art, super8 films, underground cinema, theatre, and something more.
The festival gives artists the freedom to create non-commercial works that could not exist in the mainstream and to have an open minded forum for these works to be discussed.
The murky world of the fringe festival may be uncertain but the ideas, vision, and bravery can only be admired.
